Surprising news from Wiston-Salem this morning:
Sam Swank, Wake Forest’s star kicker, missed practice yesterday with an injury that may sideline him for Thursday night’s game against Clemson.
It’s kinda sad that it has come to this, but this news really brightened up my day. It shouldn’t be like that.

Well, a last minute 46 yard field goal to beat Clemson comes to mind . . . maybe that’s why you feel good about the starting kicker out. Not that you or I wish injury on anyone.
The absence of Swank is the only reason why the game was close.
Clemson can’t hit gimmes.
As long as it’s not because of a life-threatening disease or a career-ender, it’s all kosher. I think he’ll play.
