ACC Champion Clemson Tigers
Let’s suppose you’re the coach of the #1 seed in the ACC tournament. Your team is 46-14 (27-7 against league teams) and you find yourself in the championship game of the tournament. Which pitcher gets the start?
Well if you’re Jack Leggett, the answer is Sean Clark.
Who?
Sean Clark is not the ace on the club. Since the season began, it’s safe to say that you’ve spent more time scratching your butt than he spent on the mound. Until today he had collected 7 appearances for a whopping 10 1/3 innings.
Well it worked out, so Leggett gets to collect the “genius” tag. Clark went 8 innings giving up 4 hits and 1 earned run which came in the bottom of the 9th.
Although for some reason the team decided to give NC State a little bit of hope by allowing 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th. Fortunately, the Tigers had already banked 8 runs thanks in no small part to the very sloppy play of the Puppies. That’s the 4th time this season the Pack lost to Clemson.
It’s a win in a championship game less than 12 hours after the previous game ended the night before. I’ll take it.
Congratulations Tigers!

The replay just ran on FSN. Helluva game. I thought I was watching it live to be honest as I hadn’t checked in for a day or so due to the race. Congrats to the Tigers and Sean Clark. That curveball was nice, very nice.
