Based on experience, this group won’t be very competitive, so if you want to win something, this might be your best chance.

Although, this gives me an idea. Perhaps, instead of rewarding the winner, such as in The Macallan Cup, we should give a prize to the person who plays every week and manages to finish dead last. I’m not sure what prize would be appropriate though. Cheap vodka? Wino wine? 40oz of malt liquor?

With one round left, it looks like this contest belongs to AL Tiger. It’s early this morning so I may be wrong, but I think that with the way we drop the worst week, the worst that AL Tiger can do is 136 group points (assuming he gets zero points this week). It also appears that even if Bowman gets all 7 games right this week, the best he can do in group points is 135.

Unless I’ve made a mistake, congratulations are in order for AL Tiger.

The season is winding down but the winner is far from certain. AL Tiger and Bowman are tied at the top of the leaderboard. I’m pretty sure I can’t catch up, so you all are lucky that I’m somehow maintaining enough interest to keep posting updates and reminders.

That’s right. It’s me. I have clawed my way out of last place and am now 2 points ahead of Agent Orange. Bwahahahahaha.

And one last note, Clemson is favored by 11 over Duke. I’m surprised the spread isn’t smaller.

Some of y’all are still going strong. But I know that I’ve lost a lot of interest in this college football season. And it looks like at least Walker, Clem, and Josh Maxwell have lost interest in Pick’em. That means that I’m in last place among the active participants. While victory through attrition was OK before, it’s now looking less glamorous.

I just remembered about pick’em, and therefore I missed the first game, which was Boise St.-San Jose St. Don’t forget to submit your picks.

That’s right, yours truly had a strong week 7, correctly picking 11 of 17 games. [Mizzou. WTF?!] With that effort, I was able to move up from #10 in the rankings to tied for 7th leaving Walker and Clem in my wake. The fact that they didn’t submit picks is fine by me, attrition is part of the game.

Attrition is definitely tolerable when I keep putting reminders up for everyone.
