As it stands, I am no longer in last place. True, my advancement is likely due only to the attrition of the competition, but times are tough these days and I’ll take what I can get.

I’m continuing my long and arduous task of escaping from the basement of the league. If I have a good weekend, Walker may be the new basement dweller. Watch out, Walker!

I’m continuing to claw my way out of the basement. I reckon that in 1 or 5 weeks, my goal of not being dead last should be well within reach.

At least we have 2 of the gnomes at the top of the list so that we don’t all look like total chumps.

After three weeks I am beating all odds. I picked six game — 6! — correctly last week. My performance is so woefully bad that I doubt that any of you could do worse if you tried. That said, congratulations to you guys who are leading the field. I’m not giving up, and I will finish ahead of someone other than the people who don’t submit any picks.

It’s a good thing that we get to drop one week’s results, because I flat out stunk it up last week. On the upside though, I’ll stay well ahead of the 3 people who aren’t making picks.
