This Article pretty much sums up the weekend and the irrelevant ramblings of the ACC hype machine that the ACC is a competitor!! Uh…..yeah, not so much guys. Alabama still PWNS the ACC in the seemingly apparent “Alabama whips up another ACC” opener. NC State was just outright painful to watch. Virginia had 7…..yes 7 turnovers against powerhouse William and Mary. Do I need to go on? Amazingly, Clemson and it’s win over MTSU is the only “bright point” over the entire weekend. I will give Maryland a slight pass in that they went west coast and had some jet lag…..or some lame excuse.
Meanwhile in the SEC, they all won except for Georgia who lost to a higher ranked opponent on their field. But the rest won…..like they are supposed to against the paycheck game.

New and Improved with assistance from the guys over at MGHelmets (as always). This time they did most of the dirty work and have assembled not only the ACC and SEC helmet schedules, but most of the major conference helmet schedules!!

As always, we will try to keep the schedules updated weekly for everyone to keep up. I will also try to arrange the teams per division, weekly depending on their standings. That should be interesting and time consuming enough! If you have any suggestions, please let me know via comments.
Also, I usually put out a 1024×768 format, in today’s world the monitors are bigger and badder than when we first started. So I ask you, the gnome fanatics, what is your native resolution? If I don’t get enough comments, I will continue to pump out the 1024 format.
Hey look guys, I got the schedules up and posted before Monday!!
Anyway, bad week to be a Tiger (Clemson, Auburn, LSU) and good week to be anyone else in the ACC (although 50% of the conference was off). UNC took it to the Domers while Vandy lost to the bottom of the SEC.
Blah blah blah, the football season just rolls along and I just feel numb. I get more joy watching the conference games and family teams than my own Tigers. ANYONE ELSE IN THIS PREDICAMENT!!!
EDIT: Oh yeah…..this is on Auburn’s Rivals page:
From a No. 9 ranking and preseason SEC West favorite to losing back-to-back games to Vanderbilt and Arkansas, Auburn has fallen a long way in just seven weeks. And now coach Tommy Tuberville’s job security has come into question. Get a full update inside
Hmm….#9 with preseason expectations to win the division? Clemson was there…..we know how it feels Auburn, but they were supposed to win THE CONFERENCE!!! Hey, let’s swap Tommy’s! Oh, you wouldn’t want ours huh?
The ACC finally woke up this past weekend….well except for that one school who is trying out a new color scheme. UNC showed that it is the NKOTB (that’s right, I shorthanded it to an 80′s boy band) while Maryland realized that in the NCAA, they don’t get preseason games. Va Tech and Ga Tech battle it out (while Va Tech got on my “hey, let’s wear Orange!” list) in Blacksburg.
Clemson played a Vanilla offense (or should I call it a Jacoby Ford offense) to defeat N.C. State. That’s all I have to say about that game. And about last weeks “let me know when the real competition starts”, well Maryland now has my attention.
Thank you Sam Swank.
Thank you for not allowing the SEC to completely own the ACC. Like the commentators said, the entire ACC was watching that final kick as it was the decider to SEC domination or not (at least until the end of the season). Other than that, I got to watch the BC v GT game and the GT offense is seriously confusing. Their option was chugging off 10 yard plays left and right. The score was only due to GT not being able to hold on to the ball, which should get better as their timing improves. BC without Matty Ice and Callender (Collender…whatever) is vanilla.
And how about that ECU team! Wow, a Holtz can coach!
Oh, and Clemson beat the Citadel…..let me know when the real competition starts up (re: after the first bye week)
Comments and suggestions are always welcome! Standard 1024×768 (well ok so it’s 701 due to the new column)
Both the ACC Helmet Schedule and the SEC Helmet Schedule will be maintained throughout the season and can always be obtained from the sidebar to your right Just look for these icons every Monday after a game weekend for the new one!!
