Derrick Hamilton update

Previously I noted that “after 3 years, two games, and a statistical boatload of zeros, Derrick Hamilton has signed as a free agent with Atlanta.”

Let’s update that to “after 3 years, two games, and a statistical boatload of zeros, Derrick Hamilton has signed as a free agent with Atlanta which kept him for only about 12 weeks.”

The Falcons announced yesterday that they waived Hamilton along with a couple other players.

Too bad, so sad.
Shoulda woulda coulda….

He should be held up as an example for all players who think they can leave after their sophmore year and play in the NFL

Surely a lot of the teams showed him the money when he was deciding between another season at Clemson and the Draft. Then those people told him he couldn’t have any of it, effectively rendering him screwed.

Bait and switch - very unfortunate.

Hilarity. I love it. And it was his Junior year Jason.

Once again, the Football Gods have delivered their verdict and in the words of Mr. T said: “Stay in School!!”. Thank goodness for the ones who did stay in and increased their value like Tye and Gaines. Role models for all those young kids who realize that one more year, and an education, just might serve some greater purpose later in life.
