Doing more in one week…

… than I did in my entire baseball career (link).

For the second time in 2006, Clemson first-baseman Andy D’Alessio was named national player-of-the-week by Collegiate Baseball on May 15… In six games from May 8-14, he was 9-for-20 (.450) with five homers and nine RBIs.

Oh, and he managed to snag ACC player-of-the-week honors as well.

The junior first baseman scored six runs, posted a 1.200 slugging percentage and drew three walks compiling a .522 on-base percentage

In my defense, I did get hit by more pitches in my career than Andy did in the last week. At least I’ve got that going for me, which is nice.
