ESPN Radio
I listen to ESPN radio at work and about sick of hearing Colin Cowherd trashing the ACC. We get it, the conference is bad, but when every sound bite he produces is calling out the ACC and saying how bad it is, it gets old. A few tidbits from his land of knowledge.
Clemson will never live up to its expectations.
The ACC is bad, Clemson can’t even rush against Alabama and Maryland struggled against Maryland.
You know the ACC is horrid when Clemson is supposedly the best team.
Lovely

Where do the other conferences figure in all this really? Some people claim Ohio State is really good based on the number of high draft picks their players are supposed be in in ‘09, but (and this is a paradoxical argument), that doesn’t say much given that the ACC has had the most 1st rounders in the past 2-3 years.
What the ACC has is parity, and while it might not be as good as the SEC, and not have teams at the top, virtually every team can give another a run for their money on a good day.
That can’t be said about the Pac-10, the Big East, the Big 12 (who might have an up year this time, but were stinkers for a while) and of course the Big 10, who can’t even count.
Colin Cowherd should live up to his name and tend to cattle than rack his brain cell on something that requires an ounce of thought to even form an opinion, let alone a balanced one.
Cowherd is one of the most predictable sports talking heads out there.
He tends to usually ride the wave of whatever sentiment is popular at the time, this is a perfect example. The ACC got eaten up the first weekend of games, everyone piled on them. THE HERD just latched onto this and will repeat it ad nausea.
The only time he doesn’t go whichever way the wind blows is when he decides to be contrarian just for the sake of conversation.
In regards to the ACC and national perception, they won some great out of conf. games this weekend and you hear nothing out of most media outlets.
