Question is how much playing time will he get. Bench time will not help his chances with the national team. However, the tactical nature of the Italian game, besides playing alongside Nesta (past his prime, but a stalwart nonetheless) and Kaladze, and behind Gattuso (The Snarler), Pirlo, and Seedorf will give him insight into a brand of soccer no American player has had a chance to see up front and in training. Good for him.
Not to forget Zambrotta, Ronaldinho, and Inzaghi. I don’t count Beckham as a quality player. Other than his ability to send in crosses and the occasional freekick, he’s not good.
