I’m disappointed, and surprised, but not really
This bit of news almost slipped by me, and it may have slipped by everyone else.
Clemson’s coaching staff is considering redshirting senior Rendrick Taylor in order to give experience to freshmen running backs Jamie Harper and Andre Ellington, Bowden said.
If this comes to pass, I can’t that I’m surprised that we won’t see ManBearPig on the field. It would be surprising that his lack of playing time would not be related to an injury.
Here’s looking forward to 2009!
Every year I look forward to Rendrick on the field. It’s frustrating for the fans because we never get to see what he is fully capable of doing, I’m sure it’s painfully more frustrating for him. I will always have high hopes for Rendrick. If he dosen’t make it to a life of Pro ball, then at least he’ll have a great education.
I hope they don’t do this. When he’s in, we win. He blocks for all the other WR’s until the other team forgets he can catch and wham - 11 yards. Sure, it’s not a lot, but it works.
