But I HAVE to agree that this ref was not trying to “avoid” the play. I even stated that it looked like he threw his shoulder into Garcia. This is all over the radio and internet and it should be interesting if anything comes about from it. Especially due to the fact that Spurrier is known to whine.

That guy needs to be fired as a ref just after he officiates the Clemson/USuck game . . . we could drop back another guy for covering the pass.
This is one of those things when I hope that the NCAA steps in and does something. Having each conference own it’s own ref’s, and watching SEC and Big 12 games where anything goes, to watching PAC-10 games where every three seconds a flag is thrown is wrong. The NCAA needs to step in and take over the whole tihng. Make refs autonomous (sp?) from their respected leagues and as one intity as the NCAA.
Hey this prolly did not affect the game as much as that phantom holding call on the 4th and 12.
