So….what happened to the supposed witnesses that were saying that the “victim” report was off base? That never seemed to materialize. I don’t know what the real story is, but this has loomed over Tommy in the national media and is being spun that Bowden is not taking action fast enough. I personally think that Tommy is handling it properly as it doesn’t sound like the case against McDaniel is the most rock solid. And go figure that everyone pushing for faster action would be in the areas around schools that would have to deal with the punishing safety.

I noticed a few comments on ESPN basicly calling McDaniel guilty. I fired back with the fact that there are no hard facts in the case and how I remember a Duke team that was all but declaired guilty by America. We all know how that one turned out. I think the administration is dealing with this just as they should.

Bowden didn’t really say much when the whole Ray Ray scholarship situation broke out and he really did not lose credibility in the end there, so it looks like he’s taking the same approach here. I’d like to think there might be better ways to deal with these situations to avoid the media mauling, but it looks like he knows what he’s doing…
