New Bowden and Proctor Interviews
I haven’t listened to the audio yet, but today we’re treated to new pre-practice interviews with Coach Tommy Bowden and Will Proctor.
So what’s on tap? A few quick excerpts from Bowden:
On anyone not coming back: “I’ve been evaluating some discipline issues over the course of the summer that I’ll address in the next day or so.”
Hopefully no one has been working at car dealerships.
On freshman getting some PT: “In my mind, I’ve pictured about six or seven guys that might see playing time in the first game”
CTB doesn’t want to name names in hopes that all the opposing coaches will forget about that highly touted running back out of Florida. I won’t name him either.
On the punting situation: “I think we’ll find out quick because Cole Chason has injured his foot and is going to miss maybe the first week of practice so therefore Richard Jackson is the first team punter.”
If Cole, once healthy, can beat out Richard for the #1 spot, then good for him. I’ll let CTB make that decision. It would also mean that Cole has made the biggest off-season turnaround ever, or that Richard Jackson has already completely squandered his talent using his high school 64-yard-field-goal celebrity status to get into drugs, alcohol, and the pants of willing teenage girls.

I could walk on and out kick Cole Chason and my leg only comes 4 inches off the ground.
