Even so, Larry Abernathy's idea is ludicrous. After the Food Lion debacle, the fact that so many downtown shops/eateries have gone belly up within a year of opening, and that a Walgreen's is coming when we already have a Rite Aid across the street and a CVS half mile down the road, it's obvious he and the city council have no idea about anything.
