Rooooollllll Tiiiiiiide
Cause, face it, cheering on Clemson just isn’t worth a SH!T anymore.
Hey, Bama is whoopin up on the Dawgs right now 31-0, if it was week 3 we would feel pretty damn good about our loss! Yay the mentality of mediocrity reigns supreme once you let hope die.
And to all those who have been here and read my Bowden defenses. I give up. Clemson played not to lose and was outscored 14-0 in the second half to a team that absolutely folded to the in the first half. The defense can only do so much so I don’t blame them (aside from continuously falling for the bootleg dink to the TE). It’s all on Spence and if it’s Spence’s fault, then it’s Bowdens fault for letting it play that way. As for the QB drama, I have no freaking clue what is going on there, Harper had very few downfield attempts and relied more on the screen. That made me think that Proctor was back under center.
I give up. Clemson’s pre-season hopes are severely dashed and continue to falter every week. I don’t think there will be a turnaround this year. Might as well sit back and enjoy the 7-5 train wreck one more year.
Props to the Defense for laying some serious hits and breakups as well as JD and Spiller for keeping the game interesting.
Oh and one more thing, I wish the refs would have spotted the ball for the home team like they did for the Terps!

Finally. Welcome to our side. We’re still taking memberships. I’ve always believed that Tommy was a bad head coach. The team takes it’s cues from the top, and the years of soft play and lack of enthusiasm is finally coming to bear.
However, I’m sure that Tommy will blame it all on Rob, fire him and he’ll keep his job one more year. Hooray!!!
It’s that time of year again – Time to play the name game – who should be installed as the new coach?
But seriously, after that stupid stupid contract extension decision, Terry Don is not going to fire Bowden, Bowden is sure as hell not going to resign and Clemson is going to be mired in mediocrity for a while.
Analogies
It just occured to me that Bowden might be a poor version of Ron Zook – he is just about getting recruiting right these days, but there are coaches who have more tactical ability in their pinkies than Bowden has altogether.
I agree with Jasonl, Spence is going to be the fall guy here, if anyone is let go at all. He’s more conservative (though probably not as biased/stupid) than Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter (thank God she’s not in the news) combined.
If Harper hadn’t have tucked the ball at his damned crotch and daintily leaned over the line and had stuck the ball out there and surged forward like a man, we wouldn’t need a friendly spot. Or if the ball had gone to, I don’t know, a runningback?
