Willy Korn is leaving
Tigernet is reporting that Willy Korn is going to graduate in the spring and then enroll elsewhere for his two remaining years of eligibility. This announcement adds clarity to the quarterbacks situation for next year. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing though.
I’m personally expecting Kyle Parker to be drafted, take his signing bonus, and leave Clemson. That’s what I’d do if I had a signing bonus coming my way and I knew that the football team wouldn’t have any receivers next year. If this comes to be, then I guess we’ll get to learn a whole lot about Tahj Boyd.
On the other hand, one could speculate that Korn has received a strong signal that Kyle Parker isn’t going anywhere. Although I guess Korn could also have figured that even if KP is gone, that Boyd will be the starter anyway.
From my POV, pretty much every recognizable name on the offensive side of the ball will be gone next year. I’m not too optimistic about next season, but I guess we’ll get see if there’s anything more to this coaching staff’s grand strategy than to “get Spiller the ball!”

Swinney was given the reigns with what was left of one of the best Clemson squads assembled over the past few years (Davis, Spiller, Kelly, Grisham)with which Bowden failed to achieve anything. Swinney is about to walk into a huge pile of talent dropoff and it will be interesting to see how the fanbase reacts. After such a successful (ACCCG at least) first season, what will the expectations be? Will the fanbase allow a disappointing second season and give Swinney his traditional “4 years to get HIS team”?
As for the QB situation, I would agree with the entire Parker and Korn leaving to leave Boyd and the disheveled team to survive on their own.
